News posts appear on your club’s public site for any visitor, unlike Communications (below), which only reaches people who’ve opted in.
Use News for anything a prospective member or the general public should be able to see — meeting changes, results write-ups, upcoming-shoot reminders — without needing to be signed in or subscribed.
From the demo club
Riverbend Archery Club posted “Welcome to Riverbend Archery Club!” as their launch announcement, and “Fall Classic 3D Shoot — register now” to promote their upcoming event — both visible to anyone browsing the site.
